Rinky Marwaha Don’t Frown! Laugh And The World Laughs With You August 29, 2016 https://www.nakedtruth.in/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Debunking-The-Facade.jpg

Like it is said, when you laugh, the world laughs with you, but when you cry, you cry alone.

It is always a smiling person who draws the maximum attention in any walk of life. When you frown, no one comes near you. The summary of this thesis is that a positive attitude is the best sparkler one can wear. It gives you the champagne moments, is the most attractive possible solitaire you can sport, gives the swag style to your look, and gives you that YOLO tag everyone wishes for.

But having a positive attitude is easier said than done. When one is down and out, or everything seems to be going wrong all around you, how can one sit around cracking jokes and laughing? It is time to shed tears, to look all around for some comforting words and hugs. This, too, comes. But it comes only from those who are concerned about you, those who love and care for you.

But, the world at large, is not all that loving a place where one can find the much-needed comforters and soft tones.

Thus, the only solution, is to reconnect with what is positive in your life. Is the glass half empty or half full? – this is what we must focus ourselves on. Try to consciously think of all that is good, all that is well with your times. Again, this too, is much easier to say than actually to do. When the milk has boiled all over the edge of the pan, one cannot sit and say so what? – we tend to think of all that is lost, all the muck that has to be cleaned up and so on and so forth.

So, what is it that can and should be done? Like Shweta Verma, a homemaker with two teenage children from Gurugram said, “we, meaning my husband and I, have taken to Isha Yoga to connect better with the positive life forces of the universe.” Another voice, that of Sujata Khosla, again a homemaker, piped in “I believe in my guruji and seek solace in his words.”

Thus, what comes strikingly clear is that having positive thoughts and peace around you doesn’t come easy. One has to work at it. We have to make a very conscious effort to step out of our comfort zones and make the change within ourselves to be able to sync in with the life-giving energies around us.

For instance, all those who follow Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism, make a very strong connect with chanting ‘Nam yo ho renge kyo’ and reading the prayer book, the gongyo, twice each day. It empowers them with a new zest, a feeling of being alive and well, is what they say.

Like it cannot be reinforced enough, making the efforts to seek solace outside of our daily routines is not that simple. One gives time and energy to it. And then only does the clock turn around from negativities into positivities – to thinking outside of the box and into newer and more energizing thoughts and deeds.

However, as and when one learns to see the good in what is happening around us, almost everyone unanimously agrees, our lives do change for the better. This happens because what we give into the universe, is what the universe gives back to us. As we unlearn to see the evil in ourselves and in others, it ceases to come to us. Thus, spread happy thoughts around you, and it is good cheer that you beget.
