As officials from Indian Police have reached Bali, Indonesia, Underworld Don Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje alias “Chhota Rajan” was being taken for interrogation in Bali, he alleged that some Mumbai cops have links with Dawood Ibrahim and that the Centre must keep that in mind when he is questioned.
He also alleged he’s been tortured in the past by the Mumbai Police.
“Mumbai Police has committed a lot of atrocities on me and I don’t trust them. There are some people in the Mumbai Police who are working with Dawood. The Delhi government should do justice with me keeping that in mind. I am not scared of Dawood at all,”
Chhota Rajan told reporters.
The Indian Express reports that 55-year-old Rajan will be taken in a special aircraft flown in from India.
“It is expected that Rajan will be flown to India on Wednesday,” Grand Commissioner of Police Herry Vianto told the newspaper. The delay has happened because the volcanic eruptions have affected all flight operations in Bali. All the flights in the region have been cancelled.
Reports said the Indian agencies are keen that the deportation takes place at the earliest and had put in a request to Indonesian authorities three days before itself.
PTI reported that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that Chhota Rajan will be brought to Mumbai.
“If the lawyer engaged by Rajan does not oppose his deportation to India, we will hand him over to the Indian police team which has come here. The entire process is likely to be completed in next two-three days,” an Indonesian official said earlier.
Chhota Rajan was arrested in Bali on the basis of a Red Corner Notice from Interpol and following a tip-off by Australian authorities to the Indonesian police. He was travelling under the identity of Mohan Kumar, with the passport number G9273860, when he was apprehended at the airport here after arriving on a Garuda Indonesia flight GA715.
Chhota Rajan also quoted that I will keep on fighting against terrorism & Dawood throughout my life.
