1. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Z+
Launch Expectation: Confirmed

Currently the Ciaz line up is having the Z(O) as its top of the line variant. The Z+ variant is confirmed to be launched in early 2015 with all the features of the Z(O) variant with a touch screen infotainment equipped with an in-built navigation. This will definitely give the Ciaz an edge against its well established rival; the Honda City.

To be placed above the Swift, the YRA is to come up as a direct competitor to the newly launched Elite i20. The car is a size bigger than the Swift and is expected to be powered by 1.2 and 1.4 liter petrol as well as 1.3 liter diesel engines.

3. Maruti Suzuki S Cross Crossover:
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

This crossover is going to sit above the Ciaz and hence going to be a direct competitor to the likes of Duster, Terrano etc. Expected to use the Fiat sourced 1.6 Multi-jet diesel engine, this crossover is definitely going to have a lot of appeal; let’s keep our fingers crossed.

4. Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Facelift
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

The updated Swift DZire will be hitting the showrooms early 2015. The car is expected to receive a host of exterior and interior upgrades like chrome finish on front grille and around fog lamps, new alloys and minor changes to the bumpers. On the interior front, the top end ‘Z’ variants will be getting push button start while the lower variants will get minor interior and feature upgrades; expect a good bump in price though.

5. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

Ertiga has proved to be a successful product for Maruti Suzuki. Come 2015 and a facelift hits the dealerships. Minor exterior and interior upgrades are expected but what has caught our interest is the expectation that an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is expected to be offered along with an all new higher displacement diesel engine which is developed in house by the Suzuki.

6. Hyundai Verna Facelift
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, mid 2015

Hyundai has already launched its much awaited Elite i20 in the Indian market and the car is also very well received by the Indian customers. Hyundai Verna also had a flying start and was doing very well in the market until the arrival of our new king; the Honda City. The Verna was just struggling to keep its head above the water that Maruti Suzuki added more to its woes by launching the Ciaz, which is again very well received by the market. So the Hyundai will try its best to add a new breath of life to its competitive product which definitely has the potential to rule the market segment again. The engines will remain unchanged though.

7. Honda Jazz
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

Honda Jazz had its own share of lovers when the car had its first innings in the Indian market. The quasi MPV design still remains and space, flexibility, comfort and brilliant engines are still going to be the forte of new Jazz. Engine options are going to be the 1.2l I-Vtec petrol as well as the 1.5l I-Dtec diesel, maybe Honda will also bring the 1.5l I-Vtec too targeting the enthusiastic buyers, although the chances of the Jazz 1.5l I-Vtec reaching the Indian shores are near to the ground but still we keep our fingers crossed.

8. Honda Accord
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, end 2015

If there is a car that offers a perfect blend of fun to drive factor with perfect rear seat comfort on the south of 30 lakh then it is the Accord that sits on the top of the list. The car is returning back to India for its second innings. The car will he having a 2.4l I-Vtec petrol engine which is definitely going to be a hoot to drive along with acres of space inside the cabin with some perfect cushioning and a congregation of features for offering some serious luxury to the occupants. We wish it looked a bit more different than the older version though.

9. Tata Bolt
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

If there is a car our hands are really itching to test then it is the Bolt from Tata. The hatchback sibling of the well accepted Zest looks and performs better and is expected to hit the markets at a fantastic price. The turbo petrol ‘Revotron’ engine is the only one of its type in the segment and the diesel engine is expected to be the 1.3l Quadrajet unit in the 75 bhp state of tune. Awaiting the official launch with our fingers crossed.

10. Tata Safari Storme Facelift
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

Big and handsome, the Tata Safari Storme is definitely an eyeball magnet with its looks and presence. But what always kept us away from the car is the Spartan interior design along with the short of features it comes equipped with when compared to the well established rivals like Mahindra Scorpio. The facelift is expected not only to get some minor exterior upgrades but also a host of interior upgrades too like a double din touch screen infotainment system etc. The Aria was recently launched with a more powerful engine; maybe the same motor will make its way to the Safari Storme’s engine bay too.

11. Tata Kite Hatchback and Compact Sedan
Launch Expectation: Highly expected, mid 2015

Kite is expected to be the replacement of the age old Tata Indica and will be sitting below the Bolt in the product line up. Although a couple of engines are speculated but we are quite sure that the new 1.05l common rail diesel engine will be making it to the Kite’s engine bay. Kite is going to be launched in hatchback as well as compact sedan guise. The frequent spotting of the test mules suggest that the car is being extensively tested and that’s definitely a good thing considering the fact that Tata motors is trying its best to make an epic turnaround in the Indian car market. Let’s wait and watch what Tata motors have under its sleeves.

12. Toyota Fortuner 2.5 and 3.0 4X4 Automatic
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

If there is an SUV that has put the sales charts on fire in the premium SUV segment, then it is the Fortuner and here we bring good news for the people who fancy the Fortuner but are forced to keep away because of the high price tag. Toyota is introducing a 2.5l engine equipped version of the Fortuner early 2015. The 2.5l car is expected to carry marginally lesser power and torque as compared to its 3.0l sibling, but knowing the Toyota; we are quite sure that it will be having enough power to effortlessly propel the massive SUV. The new variant is expected to be priced lower than the base 3.0 4X2 variant and that’s good news. We hope the new version will be competitively priced. An another good news is the confirmation of the 4X4 automatic variant of the Fortuner from the side of Toyota; which is going to be the new top of the live version of the SUV.

13. Ford Figo Hatchback and Compact Sedan

Keepign our fingers crossed and awaiting the official launch.

14. Renault Lodgy
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early 2015

Renault Duster got a flying start in the Indian car market despite of the fact that Renault was an unknown brand at the time of launch of Duster. Now since the people are aware of the brand and their cars, no time could have been better to launch an all new full sized MPV; the Lodgy. This full sized seven seater MPV is going to be placed direct against the established rivals like Toyota Innova. The engine options are going to be the same as of Duster and some interior cues also can be expected to be the same as of the five seater sibling of the Lodgy. Let’s wait and watch how Renault prices the new MPV.

15. DC Avanti
Launch Expectation: Confirmed, early-mid 2015

DC’s break into the supercar segment is the beautiful car they displayed for the first time in 2012. Although DC has done a lot of work for making an affordable super car and it looks fantastic in flesh too. Rest we would like to see how it goes against the rivals and even some sedans at the price point which offers a sprightly performance with fantastic comfort.
